Spring Time Allergy Tips

Spring time can mean that it’s allergy time for patients with seasonal allergies. Trees generally pollinate in the spring.  Even though it has been cold, the trees have been busy starting the pollinating process.

Typical symptoms of allergies include itching of the nose, throat and/or eyes, sneezing, and stuffy and/or runny nose. It is difficult to avoid being outside on warm days, but here are some tips that might help your spring time allergy symptoms:

1. Keep windows closed at home (especially the bedroom) or in the car to keep pollens out.

2. Take a shower after coming inside and/or right before bedtime.  

3. Limit outdoor activities during days with high pollen counts.
