I was very pleased to see this provider's badge read "doctor" in large letters. I think it is important that all patients know the title of their caregivers. It is our right. I prefer to see a doctor. NP's hold a license to practice advanced nursing. Physicians are licensed to practice medicine. The difference in the standard of care is significant between the two disciplines by virtue of education. This is particularly significant in NH where NP's can practice independently. As a Registered Nurse with decades of critical care and ER nursing, I am acutely aware of this.
