More About Heart & Vascular Care

Blood Thinner Management

The goal of the Anticoagulation Clinic is to provide anticoagulated patients with timely accurate data that allows for accurate and timely PT/INR (prothrombin ratio/ international normalized ratio) results and decreased bleeding complications. This service is provided to patients taking Coumadin to regulate their medication.

During the appointment a blood sample is obtained by using a Coaguchek System. The results are immediate and this enables the nursing personnel to change the medication dosage as necessary according to the approved algorithm. In addition, the patient has a blood pressure and heart rate check and is educated on diet, interactive medications, safety, how to take their medications and side effects.

Vascular Surgery

Vascular surgeons evaluate and treat conditions affecting the arteries and veins throughout the body. We give first preference to noninvasive and minimally invasive treatment as this allows for optimal long-term results and the quickest return to your usual daily routine.

Our vascular surgeons are located in Exeter, NH. Call 603-658-1180 to request an appointment.
