A groundbreaking was held to kick off the beginning of construction on the new Plaistow Health office building at 127 Plaistow Road, which will provide expanded space in one convenient location for Core Physicians and Exeter Hospital services that are currently located at two other Plaistow sites.
The practices located here will include Core Physicians primary care, along with Exeter Hospital Rehabilitation Services and Pediatric Rehabilitation. Core Physicians’ rotating specialty services at Plaistow Health include
orthopedics,
podiatry and
cardiology, with additional specialties to follow. Exeter Hospital X-ray services and Core Physicians
lab services will also be located onsite for patient convenience. The building is expected to open early summer 2020 for these services, with
Core Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine and the additional Core Physicians specialty services moving in the following year.
Core Physicians
primary care uses a
team-based care model, and the new facility will be structured to more efficiently provide this care. Each team includes a primary care physician, a physician or nurse practitioner, a nurse, medical assistant and care coordinator. The model ensures a patient has a team who is familiar with their health history to provide the most personalized care.
The new design also includes space for walk-in urgent care, which is currently being developed as a new service.
“Our primary goal is to provide convenient, comprehensive health care services to meet the needs of the Plaistow community,” said Mark Whitney, director of strategy for Exeter Health Resources. “With this new facility, we are able to grow and expand the care we offer.”
“We have been a part of the Plaistow community for many years, starting with one primary care physician more than ten years ago,” said Sean O’Neil, chief operations officer of Core Physicians. “This new facility will be more accessible than our current locations, and bring a wide range of services all together under one roof to better serve patients.”
