Otolaryngology & Audiology (Ears, Nose & Throat)
Our Otolaryngologists (ENT Doctors) specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of adults and children of all ages with diseases involving the head and neck. Problems which are commonly treated include rhinitis (runny nose), recurrent infections of the nose and sinuses, snoring, sleep apnea, voice disorders, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, hearing loss, perforated eardrum, chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, Meniere’s disease, vestibular disorders, and breathing disorders related to the nose or throat. We also remove lesions and moles from the neck up and offer cochlear implants to qualifying adults with significant or full hearing loss.
We want you to know that we continue to have an audiologist on staff every day at our Portsmouth location during COVID-19. To keep our community and staff safe we are only seeing patients in the clinic for urgent medical conditions. During this difficult time we want to be able to support your hearing needs. Please see the videos below for instructions on how to clean your Oticon or Phonak receiver-in-canal hearing aids.
More videos will be forthcoming regarding other makes and models from other manufacturers. We are currently working on ways to provide remote programming for patients whose hearing aids have that capability. We are also looking at ways to provide telehealth through phone and video communication. If you are having a problem with your hearing aid, please call our office at 603-776-6400 so we can determine the best way to help you. We are doing curbside drop off and pick up for malfunctioning hearing aids, but it’s important that you call the office before arriving. Most manufacturers are shipping hearing aids directly to patients if they need to be sent away for repair. If your hearing aid warranty is expiring or you need supplies, please call us. Be safe and well!
Our Audiologists diagnose and treat hearing and balance problems. They are trained to diagnose, manage and treat hearing or balance problems for individuals from birth through adulthood. Audiologists also fit and dispense hearing aids.
