Dr. Jones has seen my son since birth and she has always been amazing with him! She speaks to him during the visits and always listens to what he has to say along with myself as his parent.

I appreciate her 'no guilt, no shame, it's a health condition' approach. I think it greatly put my daughter at ease.

This provider was very dismissive and condescending with my concerns. My child was exhibiting symptoms of strep - however the provider wouldn't have even ordered the test had I not asked. When I asked, she responded in a condescending tone, "if that will make YOU feel better, we can do that. But I'm sure it will be negative. This just looks like a virus." She listened to nothing I had to say and showed no concern for my child or any of the other symptoms I was worried about. There was 0 critical thinking or in depth assessment done at this appointment by the provider. Additionally, my child did end up testing positive for strep. What is so concerning is had I not advocated for my child, we would've left with a bill and a "it's just a virus" diagnosis and she would've suffered with strep even longer. Core MD's need to listen to parents and also educate themselves on the ever changing infections in our community to treat patients accordingly. Community health requires out of the box thinking. This providers bedside manner was awful I left that appointment feeling worse than when I came in. Do better!

Great with young kids but my teen didn't feel heard and she didn't seem to know my child's medical history. We ended up at the ER later in the night brought on in part by anxiety over my daughter feeling like her symptoms were being minimized. I didn't see it exactly the same way but I can see how my anxious (with a diagnosis) child would react that way.
